About 20 years ago the #Khomani bushman got some land back. On one of their farms called Witdraai, close to the police station, there is a grot (cave) where in the past, before the police station was built, the police held some of the bushman people they arrested. Today it is one of the historical sites where we can take tourists:

The older people who know a lot about the past tell me that back in those days criminals were tied together and then they were put in the “grot” with a official who was supposed to make sure they stayed there till the date of their court trial. In winter they were forced to sit in the cold without complaining… Very bad.
